When you sign a young recording artist you never know what is going to happen by the time the record and the act hit the road. Altavoz is pleased to share that our 14-year-old guitar prodigy is living up to his billing.
After his HotShot Debut at number 14, Quinn Sullivan has more than doubled his chart position in just two weeks. Now sitting at #4 on the Billboard Blues Chart and making it to #38 on the Heatseekers Chart, Sullivan proves once again he can hold his own against the masters of the genre. With his mentor Buddy Guy two spots above (after debuting at #1) and Gary Clark Jr just one place away at #3, Sullivan is certainly Getting There, as the title of his SuperStar Records debut attests.
To cap off a summer of high-profile television appearances that kicked off with “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in June, Sullivan and his band will play the closing set on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” TONIGHT, Monday, August 26th. Sullivan and his band will play a special song that Sullivan’s fans chose via a social media contest. Click on the image to catch the performance.
Quinn’s outstanding musical talent, along with his exponentially growing fan base have attributed to his success thus far. His CD GETTING THERE is available in major independent music stores including, the infamous Amoeba Hollywood, Newbury Comics in Boston, and Waterloo Records in Austin. It’s also available at the national chain f.y.e stores across the country.
Quinn isn’t the only AltaArtist to chart on Billboard. Dawn Richard’s spectacular solo release Goldenheart debuted at #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and maintained positions across numerous charts including R&B/HipHop, Top 200, Independent Albums, and more.
Quinn’s label SuperStar Records signed with Altavoz in May 2013 and jump-started an incredible summer of label signings with the growing distribution company. In addition to Quinn Sullivan’s Blues Rock release, Altavoz has a number of urban, alt rock, punk and other releases coming in 2013. Releases from labels including Strange Earth Records and BlackSmoke Muzik, as well as a cool comic book/CD release from the band The Architects will round out a successful year.
